Local briefs: Commissioners to consider countywide rezoning Originally published August 14, 2009 From Staff Reports

Frederick County property owners can request a change in zoning through Sept. 11. The county is not charging a fee for property owners to ask for a rezoning request. The Frederick County Commissioners will review rezoning requests as part of their countywide comprehensive plan and zoning update process. In addition to considering those requests, commissioners will identify zoning changes consistent with an updated land use plan map they are working on. In order to submit an application for a change in zoning, property owners should visit www.co.Frederick .md.us/planning. A draft of the land use plan is also available there for review.
