The Frederick County Board of County Commissioners listened to over three hours of testimony against the two text amendments which would have changed property rights in the Frederick County Resource Conservation zoning districts. The testimonies, all against the two proposals, were a continuation of what property owners have been questioning for over seven months when the original resolution was proposed. At the end of the day, the motion to adopt either of the ordinances did not pass. However, property owners in RC zoning are not out of the woods yet. The commissioners may regroup to propose yet another resolution with a bit of a twist on the alternative proposal ZT-07-15. Along with this there may be some amendments to the growth manangement initiatives proposed last week that could affect the RC zoning district.
