BOCC ANNOUNCES MORATORIUM

At a press conference on January 8, 2008, the Frederick Board of County Commissioners announced several growth management proposals for Frederick County residents, including a moratorium on residential subdivisions in the unincorporated areas of Frederick County for at least 2 years.

The proposals include updating the current Frederick County Comprehensive Plan, revisions/additions to the current Adequate Public Facilities Ordinance, adopting a revised Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance and addressing water resource and agricultural preservation requirements of recent state legislation.
